Importance of Zero in Modern technology

If you thinks ZERO is nothing important as to you, Than think twice because all the modern computers and technical gadgets are based on binary system. Binary system is a type of coding which is based on 0 and 1, where 1 is used for ON situation and 0 is used for OFF. So, all the computers and mobiles are based on 0 as well.

INDIA is the country that discovered Zero. It is invented in 400 A.D. by Aryabhatta. He was an Indian genius of mathematics and astronomy. He invented Zero to represent the nothing and Brahmagupta(also from India) tried to give the rules in the 7th century for arithmetic involving zero and negative numbers

Zero plays a great role in mathematical rules and regulations. In graphic representation, you get two different graphs one going to positive infinity and other going to negative infinity. So at the same point you get two different values, is the Zero. Zero is know as nothing but still changing position of the ZERO at the appropriate position it is very beneficial. Like 01 -> 10. We all know if zero is placed before a number it will not going to effect the number but it may effect the number if there a decimal point.

0.1

0.01 it is 10 times smaller the 0.1, so zero is a important digit. The place value system was developed in INDIA in 100 BC. In the place value series use of Zero is also done as null place indicator in the number system.

But there are few questions that still yet to discover. The sum of zero and a negative number is negative, the sum of of positive number and zero is positive, the sum of zero and zero is zero. Any number to the power zero is 1 and zero to any power is 0. The only unanswered question is what is zero to the power zero? The number zero is neither positive nor negative, neither a prime number nor a composite number, nor it is a unit. It is a even number. Dividing zero by zero is still a huge mystery. It is yet to discover.

Concept of zero didn't appear in number systems for a long time and even then, the roman number system had no symbol for zero. In 3rd and 6th centuries b.c.e. , Zero made it's appearance as a slanted double wedge  in the Sumerian number system. The most ordinary significance of the zero is the lack of some measure or magnitude. Without a symbol for zero, it becomes very difficult to write large numbers.

The word "Zero" derived out of the Arabic Sifr that also presents us the mean 'cipher'. The initial usage of the sign that we symbolize in present days as the indication of zero is Greek letter. Zero can be seen existence crafts on the wall of temple in Gwalior(India). Zero is only number known with so many names such as which includes- Nil, Zip, Zilch, Nought, Naught, Shunya etc.
