Ants and their colonies with unique abilities

Ants are small insects each with black dark red or brown with 6 legs and hard head and two stomachs. Depending on their species ants may live in colony underground or in trees. Ants are very strong for their size in conquer 20× on the own weight. These little insects have life in colonies. When a queen dies the whole colony usually dies within a few months.

Every ant performs a different job in the colony. The monitor ant also known as queen performs only a job of producing eggs. Queen ants live much more than other ants. On the other hand males breed with the queen. Worker and soldier are female. Female ants do variety of jobs such as constructing the nest, searches eating material and protecting the colony like a soldier. Soldier ants defends their group and they also attack other groups to increase the colony. If soldier ants attack and conquer a colony they carry away eggs from that colony, when the eggs hatches those ants become slave ants and start doing work in the new colony.

Ants contains very unique abilities in their body. Ants have 2 stomachs one is used for their own food and 2nd is used holding the food for other ants. Ants don't have ears. Ants hear by feeling vibrations in the ground through their feet. In-fact, Yellow ants can spray the formic acid to their opponent's eye. Ants have variety of colors. Some species are green or metallic. Black, dark red or brown is most common colors. Panda ants are one of the unique ants with black and white spots just like panda.

They dispose of their death, they carry the dead body and took away from the nest or colony because of some reasons such as infections or disease may not harm to others. They teach their young, some ants practice a primitive form of slavery. An ant never sleeps. Some ants use to do party of food.

Ants attack to other colonies and if they conquer a colony they carry away eggs from that colony, when the eggs hatches those ants become slave ants and start doing work in the new colony. While fighting, in the case of war they may get harmed and they can stitch their wounds. Some ants species make slaves out of another ant species.

Ants are very tough insects. They are may be tiny but they are rude-less to ensure the survival of their colony. Most ants can survive around 24 hours underwater. The largest colony of ants was found over 3750 miles(6000 km) wide. The long living of all insects are ants, It can live up to 30 years. Largest ants was recorded 2.4 inches long. Ants can be found on every continent except Antarctica.

Some ants can swim. Some ants have no eyes. They talk using chemicals pheromones. In many parts of the world ants are eaten by humans as a delicacy but still ants worst enemies are not human actually other ants. One species of ant called Fire ants cause almost $1 billion worth of damage in North America.
