Xiaomi is top selling mobile company in various country. Actually, it deserves to be there because it always provide best smartphones to their customer in low prices.
Xiaomi was started in 6th April of 2010, but first mobile was introduced by Xiaomi in between 2010 to 2011.

Word Xiaomi is combination of two Chinese words, first is xiao it means little and mi stands to rice. So Xiao + mi= little rice.
Another theory of MI is mi stands for Mobile Internet. In earlier days, there were a lot of difficulties to start a new mobile company so at that time MI considered as Mission Impossible for the company.

Owner of Xiaomi is Lei jun, is also known as Steve jobs of China and Xiaomi is known as iPhone of China.
Lei jun is also awarded as businessmen of the year by Forbes. He is 23rd richest person of China as well.
Packaging and design of mobiles are very similar to Apple products. CEO of Xiaomi Lei jun always wear black t-shirt and blue jean at the movement of mobile launching, just like Steve jobs.

Xiaomi is also known as MI. According to 2017 survey, it is the 5th most android smartphones selling company in the world.
Xiaomi is known for it's cheap price and high quality featured mobile phones that makes it popular in all over the world.

It sold 15,000 MI 3 series mobiles in just 2 seconds on flipkart that made it fastest sold handset in India of all time.
In 2014, Xiaomi sold 2.11 million handsets just in a day, which is a Gineus World Record of most mobile phones sale in a day.
Xiaomi is the only smartphone company to hold Guinness world record.
In 2016, Xiaomi confirmed that it sell 58 million smartphones and in 2015, they sold 70 million smartphones.
In 2017, Xiaomi redmi note 4 became most selling mobile phone in India.


Unknown blames on Xiaomi

There was a blame marked on Xiaomi by F- secure named security company, that Xiaomi sells user data information to Chinese server companies without having user permission and after the investigation it was considered right because actually they're doing that but they didn't apologize for that, later they declared a statement that they're doing it after user grants the permission while using MI Cloud.

Mi smartphones are India's most popular smartphone. Xiaomi is number one mobile brand of India in current date but it ranks 4th in China, which is Xiaomi's home country.
It is illegal to sell mediatec mobile in India so Xiaomi can't sell it's mediatec phones in India due to some kind of law of patents. Only mediatec phone of Xiaomi which is sold in India is Mi 3G, was launched in December 2014.


Xiaomi mascot is named as mitu (mi2) which is often used to see in Mi sales on mi.com.

Xiaomi started it's business by manufacturing custom Rom only and these Rom were very popular at that time because Xiaomi provided advance features that exists only in Xiaomi custom Rom, not in stock android rom.
MiUi 1 was the first mobile phone of Xiaomi based on Mi Rom, launched in 2011 after the sucess of custom Rom.
First android phone of mi without miui Rom was Mi A1, actually it was the model of mi 5x with miui Rom sold in China later changed and used stock android Rom with partnerships and globally launched in India in 2017.



Highest purchased domain of China

Xiaomi paid 3.6 million dollars to purchase a domain of www.mi.com and became highest purchased domain named in China.
When logo of Mi is rotated up side down, it becames a Chinese letter or symbol that means a heart.


Sticker of made in India

Made in India sticker on the product indicates that it is assembles in India(Sri city, andhra pradesh) but not manufactured in India, actually it is manufactured in China so never think it is manufactured by India by that sticker.



Xiaomi is the 5th largest mobile manufacturing company in all over the world.


Xiaomi sell it's products in very low budget that makes them to earn no profit so they earn profit from it's play store(app, theme, games) and external parts such as body, chargers, power bank, earphones so basically they starts earning profit after a year.
